A conversation hosted by Provost Renée T. White with President Dwight A. McBride and Rutgers University-Newark Chancellor Nancy Cantor.
Chancellor Cantor is recognized across higher education for her leadership in bringing the role of universities as anchor institutions within their communities to the forefront. At Rutgers University-Newark, Chancellor Cantor’s commitment to investing in innovative and interdisciplinary partnerships has leveraged the university as a center of civic engagement through initiatives that anchor publicly engaged scholarship to advance racial equity and promote educational pathways from Pre-K to college.
This program will serve as the launch of a community dialogue series involving students, faculty, and staff, as well as thought leaders throughout higher education, as we commence our university-wide strategic planning process in spring 2022. Through these conversations, we hope to explore many important issues and expand upon the potential for The New School to be an active and vibrant citizen of New York City.
